If a couple is unable to conceive and it is not possible to use their own reproductive cells, they have the option of using an embryo donation programme, which uses eggs and sperm from suitable donors. An embryo suitable for donation is created under laboratory conditions. The advantage of this method of infertility treatment is that it can be carried out almost immediately, without injecting hormonal stimulation into the woman, and with the certainty of genetic testing of both female and male donors.
Embryo donation is probably the fastest way to get pregnant. All of our embryos have been safely vitrified at the highest quality blastocyst stage (AA and AB). Vitrification is a very gentle method of cryopreservation.
The donated embryos come from our vetted donors who must meet the following conditions according to the Czech law on artificial insemination:
The future parents will comment on the required characteristics that the donors should have: hair and eye colour, height, weight, education/profession. Blood groups and Rh-factors are also important for the correct selection. We can present several suggestions for suitable donors to the satisfaction of the interested parties. Once the recipients are satisfied with the proposal, the expectant mother is prepared for a cryoembryo transfer (CET). Two to three ultrasound examinations are required in the cycle in which the CET will be performed. The preparation may or may not be supported by hormonal substitutes.
