Oocyte donation offers the possibility of an effective and safe fertility treatment for women with low oocyte quality or an absence of oocytes. In general, about a third of women who are unable to conceive naturally either have no eggs or produce low quality eggs. For these patients, Czech law allows egg donation.
The treatment is intended for couples in which one or even both partners cannot, for various reasons, use their own gametes to procreate. Thanks to the most modern equipment and to the very high level professionals of our centre, we know how to help our clients to become parents with the contribution of an oocyte, a spermatozoon or an embryo coming from a donation.
There are a number of women for whom there is only one way to get pregnant and become a mother – fertilization outside the body with donated eggs. Egg donation allows women who until now could not have children and give birth.
Egg donation is one of the most effective methods of treating infertility in women. The oocytes of an anonymous donor in good health are brought into contact with the spermatozoa of the spouse of the recipient or donated sperm. The embryos thus formed are implanted in the uterus of the recipient. The genetic heritage of the couple is thus transmitted to 50%.

Egg donation treatment is a delicate event for couples. Although this process represents an emotional burden, it offers couples a real chance of having a child.
Apart from half of the genetic heritage, there is a certain influence on the embryo during the months of pregnancy, there are exchanges and interactions that will be decisive for the child. This procedure gives the woman the chance to live the experience of pregnancy, childbirth and breastfeeding.
Egg and sperm donation in the Czech Republic is legal, voluntary, secure and based on the principle of anonymity between the donor, the recipient (recipient couple) and the child thus conceived and born.
Egg donation in the Czech Republic is anonymous, voluntary and free. Our donors are young women under the age of 34, in compliance with the Czech legal requirements, with the European directive on human tissues and cells and the rigorous selection criteria for oocyte donors.
All our donors are previously subjected to gynecological, endocrinological and genetic examinations, tested several times on sexually transmitted diseases (HIV, syphilis, hepatitis, chlamydiosis, cytomegalovirus). Only donors who have fulfilled all the conditions including all negative STD tests are taken into the program. In our clinic, we only use oocytes from healthy donors, never excess oocytes from our clients. Most of our donors come from Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem.
Male fertility is limited – if there are no usable sperm in the ejaculate or in the testicular tissue, the couple can choose sperm donation. This is also the case when there is an increased risk of hereditary diseases.
Embryo donation offers the possibility of a safe and effective fertility treatment for the couple when both partners cannot produce healthy eggs or sperm for various reasons. Eggs from an anonymous donor are fertilized by sperm from an anonymous donor.
